Can Your Potential Customers Easily Find You On
Page One of Google?

If Not, It’s Time They Can…

“It Is Not Enough To Just Have a Website, It Has To Be Properly Constructed and Promoted”

-

Dear Business Owner:

The internet has become a part of everyday life.  More and more people now turn to the internet for just about everything.  Think about it; how many times this week have you ‘Googled’ something?

As a business owner, you need customers visiting your businesses, and if you don’t have a effective internet presence you are literally handing potential customers over to the competition.

Unfortunately, many business owners believe that just having a web site is enough.

Just ‘having’ a web site is like just ‘having’ a phone number.  If your potential customers can’t find your phone number, they can’t call you.

A good website is much more then just a means of contacting you.  It is a 24 hour a day, 365 days a year marketing and sales funnel.  Properly constructed and promoted, your website will drive customers to you and increase your sales for years to come.

We have all heard the saying “location, location, location” as it pertains to physical business presence.  Well the same theory applies to your website as found on the internet.  If you can identify where and what your potential customers are searching for online, you can get your website in front of them, right at the time of peak interest.  What could be more powerful then showing up in the search results as a possible solution to someones problem?

The trick is to be found by the customers who will use your products and services.  In the brick and mortar business world, that means geographic proximity.  When it comes to online marketing not all web traffic is created equal.  If you have a business in Toronto installing flooring, it does you no good to have people in Vancouver visiting your site.  You need Toronto area visits, as these are the customers you can sell to.

Here Is Our Formula For Growing Your Business Online

Step 1: Successful Internet Marketing For Your Business Starts Here

The first step is to identify who your business services and how they go about looking for the products and services you provide.  This is the research phase.  When I work with a client I like to first gain a full understanding or their business and how they interact with their customers.  I want to understand your vision for your company and the growth you are looking to achieve.  Only then can I begin to put together a plan to build your online presence.

Step 2: Optimize (or Build) Your Website and Get Your Target Customers To The Site

A website is much more then just words and pictures,  There are exact methods and technical skills required to get your site to show up in the search engines for the search term you want.  This is known as “Search Engine Optimization” or “SEO”.  Using my seven years of internet marketing experience, I have become an expert at getting sites ranked on the first page of Google.  This is where I like to begin; getting your site ranked in the major search engines for search terms your customers are searching for everyday.

Depending on your business and your goals I will recommend some or all of the following:

  • Construction of a fully optimized website to promote your business
  • Optimization of your current website to help customers find you
  • Various SEO strategies to get your site on the first page of the search engine results
  • Adding your business to Google Places
  • Paid promotion of your site with Google Adwords and Bing (plus others if I believe they will benefit your business)
  • Social Media Marketing (Facebook, twitter, etc…)
  • Video Marketing using sites such as Youtube
  • Online Press Releases
  • Article and Content creation and syndication
  • Plus many, many more promotional methods

No two businesses are the same, so every marketing plan I create is tailored to the individual business.  My marketing plans take into consideration your goals and budget.

Step 3: Get Your Website Visitor Engaged In Your Site And Business

I have literally visited thousands of ‘offline business’ websites, and even if they have their SEO and general online marketing in place, they almost always fall short here.

When a potential customer visits your site, you want them to hang around for a while, but more importantly you want them to start interacting and buy from you.  This really isn’t a secret, after all that is why you are in businesses.

The best way to make this happen is to engage the website visitors and give them a reason to contact and buy from you.  Depending on what type of business you are in, there are several ways to open the door to your visitors.  One of the easiest ways is to collect email contact information.  There are certain ways to do this so that your visitors will gladly give this information over.  Once you have their email you can begin building a relationship.  You could also give incentives to visit your physical location.

There really are infinite possibilities here, but the bottom line is you want your potential customers to take some kind of action in engaging with you, even if they only become a ‘friend’ on Facebook.

Step 4: Measuring Results

This is perhaps one of the best benefits of internet marketing.  Almost all facets of your marketing plan can be tracked and monitored.  You can see the exact words and phrases that people type in to find your business.  You can see what area’s of your site is viewed the most, what links are clicked on, how long people stay on the site, this goes on and on.  Perhaps the most beneficial feature is being able to see what traffic is converting into sales for you.

Setting up appropriate site Analytics is key.  If you  do only one thing, this is it.  As the data builds over time, your entire online marketing campaign gets better as adjustments are made to increase traffic, and more importantly increase the quality of traffic.
